DBT Courses
The DBT Parent Coaching Skills Training Group is designed to address these challenges by equipping parents with practical, evidence-based skills derived from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This DBT Online Course emphasizes a practical, skills-based approach, fostering stronger family relationships and supporting healthy adolescent development.

What Is Dialectical Behavior Therapy?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a specialized form of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) developed in the 1980s by Marsha Linehan, PhD, at the University of Washington, originally to treat individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and chronic suicidal behaviors.
DBT helps people who struggle with intense emotional sensitivity, self-harm, or behaviors that interfere with daily life by combining two complementary strategies: acceptance, recognizing emotions as valid, and change, developing practical skills to replace unhelpful behaviors with effective ones. Through DBT, individuals can learn to regulate emotions, manage crises, improve relationships, and work toward meaningful life goals.
