Sina is especially experienced in working with families with young children. She’s currently working as a family support worker with families with children 0 to 6 years old. She has facilitated different parenting groups such as Nobody’s Perfect, and CARES (for parents with children with special needs).
Background and Education
Sina Zha is a registered social worker and she completed her Bachelor of Social Work at Ryerson University with a minor in psychology and accomplished Master of Social Work at University of Toronto specializing in children and families. She’s trained and experienced in a number of therapy approaches, including Mindfulness for children and families, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Work Experience
Sina is a certified instructor for Circle of Security (an attachment based parenting group for families with children 0-6 years). She also offers workshops such as Kids Have Stress Too. She’s interested in Yoga practice, and is a certified mindful yoga teacher. She has been offering mommy and baby mindful yoga classes in the community. She’s passionate in planting seeds of mindfulness to families so they will have tools to face daily challenges and stress.
