Sabrina is good at dealing with anxiety, depression, and other emotional problems, and she can help individuals heal early childhood trauma, by coordinating couples and parent-child relationship issues.
Background and Education
Sabrina Wei is a national certificated counselor (level II) in Shanghai China and she registered as a certified hypnotherapist of National Guild of Hypnotists. She moved to Toronto in August 2019 with her family.
In 2012, she got her certification as a counselor. And then she further learned a lot of psychology courses and skills including Psychodynamics, Gestalt Psychotherapy, Accelerated Experiential-Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), Structural Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Ego State Therapy and body trance approach of trauma therapy.
Work Experience
She worked as a psychological coach for Chinese athletes from age 15 to 22 who participated in the floral projects of the 44th and 45th World Skills Competition. She tailored counseling plans for the competitors in the whole competition preparation process from provincial competitions to nationwide to worldwide competitions. She helped contestants to maintain the best mental state to participate in the world’s highest level of skill competitions. The athletes she coached won the world championship in both competitions.
She believes that everyone has the transformance to be a better self in their own life. She is willing to accompany each client to face and understand their symptoms, explore the strength and resources behind the symptoms, and find the most suitable lifestyle for the client in order to achieve their treatment goals.
