Background Experience

Cathy Zhao has been involved in various community organizations, universities, and high schools in Toronto since 2017, working or collaborating in roles such as community project coordinator, community project researcher, life skills coach, team leader for special projects, and administrative assistant. Over the past decade, she has trained and supervised hundreds of individuals ranging from 13 to 85 years old, successfully organizing and implementing a wide range of large-scale public educational activities with different themes and formats.

Education and Certification

Cathy holds certifications as a life skills coach and dementia care manager issued by George Brown College. She has facilitated and led self-management skills training, leadership training, and self-care practices such as mindfulness exercises in local high schools, universities, libraries, senior residences, and community centers. Participants include students, adults, and the elderly.

From 2011 to 2015, she served as the Co-Chair of the Chinese Parents Association at Ai Jing Ge High School, and from 2014 to 2016, she was a board member of the Bruel Information Month Life Skills Community Center.
