Working with the WCCYC team, I assisted in researching materials for the research paper, searching current community resources for mental health, note taking, creating google forms for various purposes, and translating the website for the program. I participated in the community-based participatory research by conducting one of the focus groups with the students, record materials and write summaries accordingly.
Background and Education
Annie completed Honours Bachelor of Arts from University of Toronto, Community and Justice Services Diploma from Humber College. I have five years of volunteering experience in different non-profit organizations in GTA, working with diverse population including newcomers, immigrants, international students, and refugees from various cultural background and age group. I am passionate about helping people to integrate into the Canadian society and help them to develop new skills.
Work Experience
Currently, I work as a digital literacy training instructor at Peel Multicultural Council, teaching participants the basic knowledge and usage of digital devices. I develop teaching plans and exercises for students to engage in the class and practice at home. Also I give students who are in need of community resources, edit resume and help them to do job searches.
